Insight Tech Services

What is Insight Tech Services?

Insight Tech Services is Sportradar’s API-first platform for real-time sportsbook intelligence. It delivers actionable insights derived from machine learning models that help operators better manage risk, shape pricing, optimise customer interactions, and maintain regulatory responsibility.

Unlike full-service offerings such as MTS, which take control of risk and trading operations, Insight Tech is designed for operators who want to retain full control of their sportsbook while enhancing it with state-of-the-art intelligence. It doesn’t execute decisions – it informs them. With a flexible, modular approach, it allows clients to embed specific insights into their own trading tools, bonus engines, CRM platforms, and player monitoring systems.

By design, Insight Tech Services puts the decision-making power in your hands, while giving your teams the tools to make those decisions smarter, faster, and with more confidence.

Who is it for?

This product is purpose-built for sportsbook operators with their own in-house trading, risk, and product teams. particularly those who want to move faster and make sharper decisions without relying on a fully managed service. It supports Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators, and serves the needs of developers, analysts, product managers, traders, and marketers who seek greater intelligence without sacrificing flexibility.

Operators looking to hybridise their existing MTS-driven setup can also use Insight Tech to enrich their existing stack with more granular visibility, without disrupting current operations.

Why Insight Tech?

Operators choose Insight Tech Services when they need more control, faster integration, and immediate impact. Traditional managed services like MTS provide structure and operational support, but often come with longer onboarding times, fixed workflows, and limited configurability. Insight Tech breaks that mold by offering a lighter, more modular product that’s ready to integrate and start delivering value quickly.

Rather than replace your sportsbook infrastructure, it connects to it, augmenting your existing stack with intelligence that can power better liability control, sharper pricing, abuse prevention, marketing segmentation, and responsible gaming oversight. With Insight Tech, operators gain a consistent data-driven layer that becomes smarter with every interaction, and adapts easily to new use cases.

What it offers

At the heart of Insight Tech are a growing number of machine learning models that focus on risk classification, behavioural analysis, market evaluation, and player-level prediction. These models include Suggested CCF for shaping customer-level exposure, Late Bet Score and Bot Score for abuse detection, Live Time Delay for personalising validation windows, and segmentation models for marketing or compliance needs. Many of these models operate in real time and are designed to support high-volume decisioning during live trading or ongoing player interactions.

Each model is delivered via an API and can be integrated independently or in combination with others, depending on the operator’s goals. Some models produce scores that reflect a player’s risk or behavioural profile, while others provide recommendations for adjusting bet acceptance, bonus eligibility, or validation delays.

A different philosophy than MTS

MTS and Insight Tech Services are complementary, but their philosophies are different. MTS is a managed service – it operates and manages your risk on your behalf. Insight Tech, by contrast, is an intelligence layer: it provides the signals and recommendations, but the decisions remain yours. Operators who already use MTS can benefit from Insight Tech’s transparency and granularity, while others may prefer Insight Tech precisely because it lets them stay in the driver’s seat.

Where MTS validates and accepts bets, Insight Tech listens and learns from them. Operators using ticket-inform protocols send already-approved tickets for processing, enabling real-time player profiling and signal extraction, without interrupting the betting flow.

If MTS is the engine, Insight Tech is the navigation system.

Architecture and Console

Everything in Insight Tech is delivered via secure APIs designed for production use. Operators can call models in real time during the bet placement flow, run periodic batch jobs, or generate daily reports via automated scheduling.

Although Insight Tech is built for API-first integration, it also includes a user interface: the Insight Tech Console. This console enables traders, analysts, or product managers to explore player segments, monitor high-risk behaviour, and export relevant insights – without needing to write code or integrate dashboards. The console is read-only and provides visibility into the same model outputs that power the API.

Getting started

Integrating Insight Tech Services starts with a simple API onboarding process. Once credentials are provisioned and access is granted to either the staging or production environment, operators can begin testing the models they’ve activated. Each model includes OpenAPI specifications, a sample request, and recommendations for interpreting the response. Some models operate in real time and return a score immediately; others may rely on batch processing or scheduled updates.

Authentication is based on OAuth 2.0 and can be integrated in minutes. The product supports both legacy MTS ticket version 2.4, as well as modern ticket-placement and ticket-inform protocols, with full functionality unlocked via the ticket version 3.0 WebSocket-based architecture.

The product can be integrated entirely via backend systems, or used in parallel with the Insight Tech Console to support operational review. In either case, the goal is to enable smarter decisions with less friction and no long-term lock-in.
